God does not call the equipped.
He equips the called.

Dear Friends,

Here’s trusting that you had a wonderful Christmas celebrating our Savior’s birth with family and friends. It is with great joy that I share with you the new ministry I am entering into in 2013.
“Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
                                                            -Isaiah 6:8
January 7, 2013 I will be leaving Minnesota long-term for Port-au-Prince, Haiti, with the  job title: Missions Missionary and will be living at the Healing Haiti Guesthouse in Delmas. What a privilege to work closely with incoming ministry teams at the Healing Haiti guesthouse. Organization and general house maintenance will be my primary responsibility as well as caring for individuals on the team. Duties will include coordinating team schedules as well as scheduling transportation between drivers/translators. This is a team effort working alongside other staff members to organize and delegate where donations can be appropriately given. As the Lord continues to guide both Healing Haiti and myself into this new ministry, I am eager to see what the future entails.
After several visits I can tell you it is an honor to be able to return to Haiti and serve the Lord in Port-au-Prince. Throughout my life I have been enthralled by stories of missionaries and the path that God has paved for their life. As a young girl I didn’t always understand why God gave me the family that He did or what I would do as I grew up. However I did know that I wanted to follow His will for my life and that if I was in His will it wasn’t always going to be easy, but I would rather be in His will laboring than out of His will relaxing.
This journey started before I was born as my parents prayed for the Lord’s will in my life. When I look back over the years and the influences that have helped to shape my character and personality I am so blessed to know that prayers have been poured into my life, and I thank some of you for praying for me.
I will continue to seek His will instead of my own and pray that I would yield my own desires for His. Prayer has been integral to my life and is the reason each of us are able to grow and learn as a person. Again I ask for your help to pray for me as I embark on this new journey. Would you Pray that God would break my heart for what breaks His and that I would be willing to surrender everything to the Lord? During this work you’ll find specific prayer requests posted on my blog (see attached page for information) to keep you updated on real time happenings and needs in Haiti.
I expect to work with Healing Haiti for the next year, and as you know I can’t do this work without your help, prayers, and financial support. Would you consider partnering and investing in this mission work? When God calls He promises to equip. Would you be a part of this mission work? Thank you in advance for your help. (Please see the attachment for more details.)
As the weeks turn into days before my departure it is thrilling to see God’s hand in this entire process as He cares for even the smallest details of life. It is an honor to serve the Lord in Haiti, observe the gospel as its spread and watch His kingdom grow. May we always seek God’s glory and His guidance as we each continue to follow Him.

May you and yours be blessed as we serve Him together in 2013!

Glwa Pou Bondye!
Glory to God!
